For 20 years, the worlds largest and most dynamic brands have entrusted their most mission critical and sensitive workloads to AgilePoint. In part, due to the fact that we provide an easy to use and award-winning platform that allows users of all types to collaboratively build cross-functional automation at scale. The other, as you may already know, is the fact that the platform offers the most robust security and governance framework in the industry.
Today’s article is focusing on the latter portion, and how we’re improving the ability to monitor security related changes in your AgilePoint deployment, and hit the bullseye in what seems to be a moving target. Read on to learn about the unveiling of information security audit logs, coming to every deployment model in AgilePoint NX V9 and will help you keep tabs on security and permissioning changes to Data Entities, Pages, Applications, Groups and Roles!
But Wait, Wasn’t This Already Available?
Yes! Well, kinda.
As with every action taken within AgilePoint, everything is logged by default in the AgilePoint tables. The problem was, though these data were available, you needed to create your own reports to visualize it, and tracking the changes manually required more work than really made sense.
How Does This Change in V9?
Starting in AgilePoint NX V9, AgilePoint administrators will see a new tab when navigating to a particular object to view the security audit log. No more creating and comparing reports manually! Here’s a rundown of what you can expect with the first release of security audit logs:
- Tracks all changes to Groups, Roles, Pages, Entities and Application – related permissions, whether done by a user or through the API
- Tracks whether the action failed, or was completed successfully
- Will be available for all deployment options
- Gives complete visibility and traceability for administrators and auditors alike
So, go on then, comply with confidence! We can’t wait to hear what you have to say about this cool, new feature!
