User Sync from Windows Azure AD to AgilePoint NX

There are 4 ways of registering user from Windows Azure AD to AgilePoint NX.

Option 1: You can enable WAAD Authentication and set “AutoSync” to ‘Yes’. So whenever an Office365 user login to AgilePoint NX Portal, the user profile will be automatically synced to AgilePoint. Please note: In AgilePoint NX On-Demand,  this is only available in Production environment (Proapp1, Prodapp2, Prodapp3 etc.) and not in Development (Devapp1, Devapp2, Devapp3 etc.). Option 2: Bulk upload users using a template. This can be done from Settings > Admin Settings > Bulk Upload. Please refer to the articles below.

Option 3: An Office 365 user can manually be registered with AgilePoint NX system by an admin role by going to Manage Center –> Access Control –> Users –> Click Add User –> Add New User from Other Source

Note: In AgilePoint NX OnDemand environment, you won’t see a separate link for “Add New User from Other Source”. You just have to select the radio button called “User from other source”.

Option 4: We also offer an add-on component as part of Professional Services. This Add-on component is a windows service which acts as a relay endpoint and installed OnPremises which will automatically pull the User Profiles from Windows Azure AD and update to AgilePoint NX (in the Cloud or On-Premises) on a configured schedule. This results in proactive sync of user profile without waiting for them to logon to AgilePoint NX Portal.

How it works?

1. User will maintain the user groups in Windows Azure Active Directory.
2. User should create a group in AgilePoint Portal -> Manage -> Access control -> Groups with the same name as in Windows Azure Active Directory.
3. Utility will be running as a Windows Service. It will sync groups with same name every time interval specified in settings.
