In our series of GenAI announcements, we’re pleased to announce that AgilePoint’s Generative AI capabilities can now handle complex Master-Detail forms!
As you might have seen in prior blogs, this latest iteration of GenAI builds upon a strong foundation set previously, where AgilePoint’s Large Language Model can ingest source material or prompts, and transform it into an intelligent business application in seconds. As of today, our LLM can now handle more complex data structures including parent-child relationships and one-many structures.
Why Is This Important?
Well, as you’ll see in the video linked below, many existing applications and PDFs have repeating structures included, so getting this right for our customers was an absolute MUST.
How Does It Work?
You’ll be pleased to learn that you’ll essentially follow the same straightforward and guided approach you might have seen in prior GenAI videos, with just a couple unique wrinkles to link together the more complex data structure. Nothing you can’t handle!
Scenario 1 – A PDF that Captures Business Expenses
Though corporate travel may have momentarily slowed, all signs are pointing towards a return to pre-pandemic levels, which means we need to swap out our PDF with an intelligent expense app using AgilePoint.
As before, simply upload the PDF to AgilePoint, massage and reclassify any suggested fields, and link the repeating section for expense line items to the parent table, and we’re off and running!
Scenario 2 – A Screenshot of an Employee Maintenance Application
Every organization has an app like this – a legacy app that we just can’t quit for reasons we don’t fully understand. Simply take a screenshot of this relic, and upload it to AgilePoint.
But this one has a slightly more complex structure, with not just one but TWO repeating tables associated. No sweat! Be it 2, 10 or 20 related tables, we’ve got you covered. Using our intuitive design tools, you can easily link them all together.
Before I let you enjoy the video, I do have a couple of things I’d like to mention:
- You’ll see me building Form-Based Applications in this video, but rest assured that the same capabilities will also support automating the creation of forms as part of a Process-Based app.
- For any tables, you’ll notice that those have been automatically transposed into a Data Grid. But don’t worry, we plan to bring in support for Subforms in the coming weeks.
So, with that out of the way, take a look at the video below, and please try this for yourself!
Please note that this video is recorded while this feature is in limited-preview beta version. Some of the labels and icons might change by the time it goes GA but the general concept of generating an app would remain the same.
